Of course he still called Mr. Miles too.

We saw Dr. Rich today for the one year check-up and shots. He did awesome, and he is right on schedule developmentally. Here are his stats:

Height: 29 1/2 "
Weight: 21 lbs 2 oz

For his birthday, we opened gifts, and this weekend the boys will share a cake. With it just being the 4 of us, having 2 cakes seemed silly (and too much!) We'll have some friends over and let the messy eating happen! I will upload pics to Shutterfly very shortly. Mr. Miles thanks you all for the birthday wishes.melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08145803092424576237noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31173047.post-69095542135370667282008-02-13T10:11:00.001-07:002008-02-13T10:11:51.169-07:00Look At Me Go melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08145803092424576237noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31173047.post-36944518205787908672008-01-29T12:32:00.000-07:002008-12-08T14:11:39.140-07:0011 Months Old<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_qMi0fpJVUOg/R59_qngaD-I/AAAAAAAAATs/MAejen51xIg/s320/DSC00010.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5160984068126019554" />

Mr. Miles is babbling all the time. He celebrated his first Christmas, and was spoiled. Elijah helped him open his gifts, and show them to him. Miles is pretty content to let Elijah help him out with stuff, but he has his independent moments too. Right now, he is in a biting phase. You have to watch him when you're playing with him, so you can move out of the way. Sadly Elijah hasn't learned that, and he had a bite mark on his arm for a few days.

Miles still loves the camera, he is sporadic with his sleeping, waking up at least once a night. And his eyes seem to be changing from blue, to a blue-hazel mix.melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08145803092424576237noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31173047.post-29947596525968886002007-12-07T14:05:00.001-07:002008-12-08T14:11:39.488-07:00All I Want For Christmas...<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_qMi0fpJVUOg/R1m16toCO-I/AAAAAAAAARk/DOdVs_mSlRE/s320/DSC00004.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5141340469904686050" />

is my two front teeth. He is eating well, both his baby food and small bites of table food. He has been weaned, is now taking a bottle. I didn't realize that I would miss holding him so close to me, but I am happy to have that freedom. He is almost crawling. He sort of ooches forward by pushing his feet. I won't call it crawling until he does more than two ooches.

Best news of all, he's been sleeping really well. Miles was his ever-charming self, always willing to pose for pictures and dole out his famous smile. He surprised all of us by saying his first word, Mama. He can also say Dada.

He's already at 20 lbs, but we'll have official stats when he goes to his doctor appt in three weeks.

We've been on a roller coaster of sleepless nights, but he's slept through the night the last two nights. What's the magic formula? We don't know. But like a superstitious sports player, we don't want to change anything. So we're sticking with the lucky jammies and the gas medicine before bed.melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08145803092424576237noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31173047.post-46104655248225589042007-10-24T09:51:00.000-06:002008-12-08T14:11:40.252-07:008 Months Old<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_qMi0fpJVUOg/Rx9qVkFSNCI/AAAAAAAAAPw/mgX5CRXZMig/s320/DSC00008.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5124931819666551842" />

Miles certainly seems to be developing his own personality. He is still pretty mellow, but clearly his biggest interest is big brother Elijah. Miles is now rolling everywhere, and eating baby food regularly. His sleep habits need refinement, he can be sporadic with sleeping all night. But I can count on him to nap during the day.

His next appt isn't until next month, but we moved him into a bigger car seat, one that we can face forward once he turns one. He also had his first cold last week, he had a runny nose for 2 days. His next doctor appt is end of August, for his 6 month check up.melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08145803092424576237noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31173047.post-15256647337813208452007-07-09T17:56:00.000-06:002008-12-08T14:11:42.120-07:00Miles Meets The Beach<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_qMi0fpJVUOg/RpLNIz7aB3I/AAAAAAAAAL8/uRjQDNSf19k/s320/DSC00011.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5085352480516736882" />
Beach Bum

<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_qMi0fpJVUOg/RpLL3D7aB0I/AAAAAAAAALk/6z0rDa_LwbY/s320/DSC00009.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5085351076062431042" />
Sandy Feetmelissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08145803092424576237noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31173047.post-69592548406084923162007-07-05T16:26:00.000-06:002008-12-08T14:12:09.430-07:00Sleep Time<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_qMi0fpJVUOg/Ro1waT7aBtI/AAAAAAAAAKs/yynatlmm-K4/s320/DSC00005.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5083843151699510994" />

Daddy tucked Miles into our bedmelissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08145803092424576237noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31173047.post-24869837938866798322007-06-23T08:11:00.000-06:002008-12-08T14:12:09.749-07:004 Months Old<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_qMi0fpJVUOg/Rn0sV_JUq0I/AAAAAAAAAKU/oVGuW4ay9N8/s320/DSC00003_1.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5079264710983199554" />
Miles had his doctor appt yesterday. Dr. Rich was pleased with his progress. He's a healthy, happy baby, and everything is good. Here are his stats:

Weight: 15 lbs 14.5 oz
Height: 25 3/4 "

Yep, that's 2 inches grown and 3 lbs gained in 2 months. We go back in August.

Miles continues to sleep through the night, and cat naps during the day. Can't complain. It's hilarious if you look at Elijah's three month picture. Complete opposites.

Miles is such a good baby, I couldn't be more pleased. All the issues we had with Elijah as a baby, it's a blessing from God to have a baby that eats and sleeps. He laughs and he smiles a lot. He loves watching Elijah.

His next appt is next month, so we'll have stats for you then.melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08145803092424576237noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31173047.post-88236328335394139782007-05-12T19:03:00.000-06:002008-12-08T14:12:10.098-07:00Napping Brothers<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_qMi0fpJVUOg/RkZkCcCFCYI/AAAAAAAAAIk/pERDiul5Lrs/s320/DSC00003.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5063844824072128898" />melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08145803092424576237noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31173047.post-41181869157222081282007-05-01T17:07:00.000-06:002007-05-01T17:08:27.568-06:00Miles SmilesHere he is, smiling and wiggling. Thursday night, he slept from 9:30pm until 5am. Last night, he slept from 7:30pm until 3am. He continues to eat well and he smiles a lot. He also likes to kick and wiggle when he's in his bouncy seat. He's such a great baby.melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08145803092424576237noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-31173047.post-37391704065030861072007-04-20T17:32:00.000-06:002008-12-08T14:12:40.920-07:00Two Months Old<img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_qMi0fpJVUOg/RilNr6HF5rI/AAAAAAAAAH0/-2yDRGJp_JM/s320/DSC00004.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5055657473428809394" />

Miles went to the doctor today for his 2 month check-up. Dr. Rich was very impressed with how big and strong he is. Here are his stats:
height: 23 3/4 in
weight: 12 lbs 10oz (that's 4 lbs in 6 weeks, way to go Miles!)

He got 5 shots, and an oral vaccination. Poor little fellow's legs are sore, so he's not his jovial self. But he's a trooper, he'll pull through.

Nana & Grampy are having a blast getting to know him. Miles' next dr appt is in 2 months.melissahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08145803092424576237noreply@blogger.com2
