1 Year Old

Well, now that the baby is one, we're gonna stop calling him baby Miles, and try Little Miles. Of course he still called Mr. Miles too.

We saw Dr. Rich today for the one year check-up and shots. He did awesome, and he is right on schedule developmentally. Here are his stats:

Height: 29 1/2 "
Weight: 21 lbs 2 oz

For his birthday, we opened gifts, and this weekend the boys will share a cake. With it just being the 4 of us, having 2 cakes seemed silly (and too much!) We'll have some friends over and let the messy eating happen! I will upload pics to Shutterfly very shortly. Mr. Miles thanks you all for the birthday wishes.

Look At Me Go

11 Months Old

Mr. Miles is babbling all the time. Or he's busy laughing and wrestling with his big brother. He can climb up the stairs in the blink of an eye, and eating table food regularly.

He's only waking at night when he's cold, he hasn't yet figured out how to pull the blankets back on. And we don't need to bounce him on the ball to get him to sleep. Sometimes it is needed to calm him if he's upset though.

I'm sure he's looking forward to turning one next month, if only so his car seat can face forward and his long legs won't be so cramped.

What Crawls Upstairs...

Miles does. He's still unsure of it, so I am right behind him encouraging him.

Both he & Elijah have been sick the last few days. Elijah's fever only lasted a day, Miles' has held on. It is starting to go down, and thankfully he is willing to take it easy during the day. Unfortunately, he is not sleeping well at night. Pray for better nights sleep for all, and for continued healing.

10 Months Old

With Christmas and company, I didn't find time to take Miles' 10 months old picture, but here it is now.

He had his flu booster shot last week, with no major issues. He celebrated his first Christmas, and was spoiled. Elijah helped him open his gifts, and show them to him. Miles is pretty content to let Elijah help him out with stuff, but he has his independent moments too. Right now, he is in a biting phase. You have to watch him when you're playing with him, so you can move out of the way. Sadly Elijah hasn't learned that, and he had a bite mark on his arm for a few days.

Miles still loves the camera, he is sporadic with his sleeping, waking up at least once a night. And his eyes seem to be changing from blue, to a blue-hazel mix.

Meeting Santa

Miles, Santa & Elijah

My kids just do well with the Big Elf. I dunno why. Miles was content enough to meet Santa today. Didn't really smile, but he was curious about this man in the red suit. Of course when Santa asked his brother what do you want for Christmas, Elijah said Presents! And Santa encouraged him to let Mommy take care of his brother.

Geoff and I are both looking forward to celebrating Christmas with the boys. The holidays are so much more fun with kids.
